Elizabeth Olsen Responds to House of the Dragon Season 2 Rumors

One of the most well-known actresses in recent years is Elizabeth Olsen. As one of the most important and influential characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, her journey through the franchise put her in the spotlight. She also had several speculations that connected her name to a current HBO project.

The Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, which debuted in August, is one of HBO’s most well-liked programs. The new fantasy program is regarded as one of the most popular series a few weeks after its debut, averaging 30 million views every episode.

Due to the popularity of the first few episodes, HBO has already announced a second season. Fans haven’t speculated much about season 2 because of the alterations and time jumps in the first episode.

But at the start of September, news emerged that HBO was already considering a well-known actress for the upcoming House of the Dragon season. Elizabeth Olsen’s name popped up as a potential inclusion for the forthcoming season.

Olsen previously went through the casting process for Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, but Emilia Clarke ultimately won. The actress has surfaced in recent reports among the newcomers to Westeros.

Will Elizabeth Olsen appear in Season 2 of House of the Dragon?

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 32-year-old actress was surprised by the rumor. “I don’t know how rumors like that start and why people think they are legitimate,” Olsen wondered, even pointing out that someone with a verified profile gave the information.

The actress was asked if she would be interested in playing a part in House of the Dragon, to which she said that she would be provided it had a “strong tale, unique, and with nice characters.”

New characters will probably appear in the second season. However, it is unclear who they will be now. Even still, it seems doubtful that Elizabeth Olsen will take on such a project, primarily because the series has managed to keep its stars under the radar while still featuring a few well-known performers.
