House of the Dragon Beats The Rings of Power in Viewership

House of the Dragon, a spin-off and a prequel to Game of Thrones is winning over viewers and critics. Based on George RR Martin’s novel, A Song of Ice and Fire, which centers on the Targaryen Dynasty and the Dance of Dragons, a civil war between Rhaenyra and Aegon Targaryen over control of Westeros.

The Sixth episode of House of the Dragon has already aired, and fans cannot wait for the seventh episode, which will further explore the conflicts between the Rhaenyra and The Queen. 

According to the information given by Parrot Analytics, interest in the show is rising in the United States, mainly due to fan demand and rising ratings. The House of the Dragon data is related to the whole American market and accounts for streaming, downloads, and social media. They show a 55.4% spike in attention, up from 13% the week prior when it looked as though interest was waning.

In particular, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, an HBO series that directly competes with it on television, reported a loss of 13% last week and fell to third place. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, with a 6% decline in demand, came in second.
