Courteney Cox, known for her role as Monica Geller in Friends, is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Courteney Cox, the actress known for her roles in “Friends” and “Scream,” is set to receive her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will honor Cox with the 2,750th star in the television category on Feb. 27. The ceremony will take place at 6284 Hollywood Blvd., the same address as Katherine Hepburn’s star. Jennifer Aniston, Cox’s co-star in “Friends,” will appear as a guest speaker, along with Lisa Kudrow and Cox’s friend, actress Laura Dern. The event will be streamed online at walkoffame.com.

Ana Martinez, Hollywood Walk of Fame producer, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Courteney Cox to the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Courteney has played some momentous roles during her career and we know there is much more to come.”

Courteney Cox gained popularity as one of the stars of the successful sitcom Friends, which aired for ten seasons and won an Emmy Award. In 2021, Cox joined her co-stars Aniston, Kudrow, and others for a reunion special on HBO Max, nominated for an Emmy. 

She later executive produced and starred in the sitcom Cougar Town, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination. Cox’s recent work includes starring in the Starz series Shining Vale. 

Cox is also recognized for her portrayal of Gale Weathers in the Scream horror film series, having returned to the franchise in the fifth Scream film released last year. She has appeared in other films such as Mothers and Daughters, Bedtime Stories, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, and 3000 Miles to Graceland.
