zac efron to play wolverine

On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Zac Efron addressed the long-running rumors that he will portray The Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Efron’s first public appearance on television following the accident left his face disfigured and prevented him from engaging in public life.

Jimmy Fallon told him about the casting call for a new Wolverine and that they were seeking “someone type Zack Efron” when he asked about the assurance of whether there is any potential that we may one day see him portraying the character. The actor is taken aback by this statement and remarks, Well, you can call me directly,” “But I think Hugh is still doing pretty well, Efron said. “He’ll let you do it. You know him; he’s a good guy,” Fallon said.

The notion that Marvel was seeking a “Zac Efron type” first surfaced around 2019. However, there is still a chance that Efron may soon be joining the MCU. Zack is also one of the fans’ top choices to play the Human Torch in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

With the multiverse expanding, Hugh might be one of the Wolverine in one of that universes. So there is a slight chance we would be able to see Zac play the character of Wolverine in a Solo Movie or the upcoming announced X-Men movies.

Hugh Jackman has also confirmed that he will reprise his role of Wolverine alongside d Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 3. In a video message, Ryan revealed that Wolverine would return as a co-star in the following “Deadpool” sequel. Additionally, they affirmed that the film would take place before Logan’s events since Wolverine died there.

Although Ryan and Hugh co-starred in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which generally garnered negative reviews, this might be Ryan’s chance to make up for it in the sequel. The release date for the movie is September 6, 2024.
