Mabel Cadena Black Panther 2

Mabel Cadena talks about the future of her character. The second installment of Black Panther, directed by Ryan Coogler, introduced many characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, giving fans hope that more of their side will be explored in the upcoming films.

The newest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is again directed by Ryan Coogler. This time, he was tasked with telling a particularly challenging tale because King T’Challa is absent from this sequel because Chadwick Boseman, who played his King T’Challa, passed away from colon cancer in the summer of 2020. The plot had to be revised entirely due to an unexpected occurrence.

In contrast, several brand-new characters are introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, including Ironheart, played by Dominique Thorne, Namor, played by Tenoch Huerta, and Namora (played by Mabel Cadena).

Although it is far from certain that we will see this character again in other series or movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Mabel Cadena herself said in a recent interview with CBR that the actress has attempted to explain the future of her character.

I don’t know what happened with Namora after the events of the film or what happened [to] my relationship with Namor, but I hope we can have a future. I really want to continue to play Namora. I know the comics have different ways of continuing the story [but] I know she ends up on a team sometimes.
