Why Sylvester Stallone's Rocky Isn't in Creed 3?

Adonis Creed, played by Michael B. Jordan, the son of Apollo, is the focus of Creed 3, the third installment of the Rocky spinoff series, which debuted its teaser a few days ago.

The trailer made it clear that Sylvester Stallone would not appear in a film in the series for the first time since the debut chapter in 1976. The legendary actor stood away even if the teaser gives the impression that Balboa is still alive.

Jonathan Majors will play Adonis’ boyhood pal Damian in the cast. He is now prepared to fight the grand champion for retribution after serving an 18-year sentence.

Along with the two opponents, Florian Munteanu and Tessa Thompson will also be back to reprise their respective roles as Bianca, our protagonist’s wife, and Viktor Drago, the son of Ivan and rival of Adonis in the last movie.

Stallone clarified why he didn’t think there was enough space for him:

Stallone commented, “I just didn’t know whether there was a part for me.” The movie takes a different turn, and I’ve heard it’s incredibly intriguing.”

Along with Creed, A Drago Spin off is also currently in Work. A movie dedicated to Drago, the legendary foe of the Italian Stallion, played by Dolph Lundgren. Stallone has been highly critical of this project’s creators and has been in a rage.

Michael B. Jordan will make his directorial debut with Creed 3 when the movie opens on March 3, 2023.
