Squid Game director wants Leonardo Dicaprio for season 2 of the show

According to Variety, Director Hwang Dong-Hyuk may approach Leonardo DiCaprio with an invitation to take part in Squid Game Season 2.

The show’s focusing plot is that 456 people who are about to lose their real estate due to debt are invited to compete on a remote island. Only one will survive and get the reward worth $5 Million.

The island where the games are played features an artificial intelligence system. Several games are frequently derived from kid-friendly activities but potentially have disastrous results.

The director was questioned about it during a press conference If there were any intentions to cast any Western performers, But according to Dong-Hyuk, “There will be no known Hollywood actor in Season 2. That’s not in the plan, and if the stage changes, maybe in Season 3 – but for Season 2.”

The director said that season 2 is still set in Korea, but the location may vary. If time or circumstances permit, we might be able to invite Leonardo DiCaprio. He has stated that he is a big fan of the show.

Dong-Hyuk already revealed some Season 2 spoilers: Seong Gi-hun is back, and The Leader comes back.
In any event, it’s essential to remember that the show’s creator mentioned in December that a third season was being discussed. In an interview with Korean radio station KBS, he said, “We should come to an agreement soon.”

The second season of Netflix has not yet been given a release date. Still, according to the creator, it will probably happen between late 2023 and early 2024.
