Kit Harington on Game of Thrones Sequel ‘Snow’ Future

Kit Harington on Game of Thrones Sequel 'Snow' Future

In the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, Jon Snow learned that he was Aegon Targaryen, a future successor to the Iron Throne. In the series finale, he was exiled from Westeros and set off with the Wildlings to leave his former life behind for the Murder of Queen Daenerys Targaryen.

The actor received two Emmy nominations for depicting an action hero who battles to maintain his family’s moral beliefs in a terrible world. In the upcoming SNOW series, the official Sequel to Game of Thrones, Kit Harington, will return to the role.

It was Kit Harington who pitched the idea of ‘Snow’ to HBO

Emilia Clarke, a former co-star of Kit Harrington, confirmed George R. R. Martin’s claim that Kit Harrington pitched the idea to HBO. As far as I can tell, Kit was involved from the beginning, according to Clarke, who spoke to the BBC. So, ideally, if that occurs, what you will be witnessing has Kit Harrington’s seal of approval.

On a recent episode of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused Podcast, Kit Harington briefly discussed the HBO spin-off series for Jon Snow that is now in production.

Josh: This potential spin-off kind of shocked the world and surprised me. I mean, it’s a hugely rewarding experience you had, but apparently, you initiated this. Can you say like, is there unfinished business for you in this character, is that what initiated this, like where is your head at in terms of trying to develop this?

Kit: The only thing I will say about that is that I know Nothing about it.

Josh: If this spin-off ever happens, and I know you are a huge friends fan, I hope it’s better than the Joey spin-off.

Kit Harington was shocked to learn that there was a joey spin-off.

HBO doesn’t seem to have plans to stop producing Game of Thrones spin-offs anytime soon. An animated spin-off prequel, including The Golden Empire, The Hedge Knight, The Sea Snake, and Ten Thousand Ships, are also in development.
