One of the best performers of all time, Gary Oldman, says he wants to Retire from Acting in Near Future. Gary is a master of transformation and has appeared in some of the most well-known film series in the world, including Harry Potter and The Dark Knight. 

He has also starred as the main character in some of the best movies, including Mank and Darkest Hour. For which he earned the first and only Academy Award of his career. He is currently starring in the AppleTV+ series Slow Horses. However, according to Gary Oldman, this will be his last role, and he is soon planning to retire from acting.

The Reason Gary Oldman wants to Retire

When you’re young, you think you’ll be able to do them all, but then the years go by – he said. I’ll be 65 next year; 70 is around the corner. I’ve had an enviable career, but careers decline, and I have other things that interest me outside of acting. 

I don’t want to be active when I’m 80. I would be thrilled and honored and privileged to play Jackson Lamb, his character in Slow Horses, and then quit

Gary Oldman’s Upcoming Movie

Gary Oldman’s upcoming project is Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. The biography of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a theoretical physicist commonly regarded as the “father of the atomic bomb” for his work on the Manhattan Project. In the film, Oldman plays Harry Truman.
