Warner Bros Were considering to Recast Mera Due to the Lack of Chemistry Between Jason Momoa and Amber Heard

Last week, Amber Heard testified that her role in Aquaman 2 was trimmed down and many of her scenes cut out. The actress complained that she did not know if her Character would even appear in the film at all. Earlier.

Today, the head of DC Comics, Walter Hamada, testified in front of the jury, who not only confirmed previous reports, but also revealed the official reasons for reducing the role of Amber Heard in the film that her work hasn’t been hampered for  the reason the actress claimed , and the studio hasn’t reduced her role along the way.

Hamada testified in and said the studio had considered for several weeks recasting Heard as Mera in the upcoming film, Aquaman. Hamada said the studio’s concern was the lack of chemistry between Heard and Jason Momoa, who stars as Aquaman

They didn’t have much chemistry together. The editing room managed to make this relationship work in the first film, but there was concern that it would be too much effort to achieve it in the second. You know it when you see it, and the chemicals weren’t there.

The also added that The sequel was conceived “ from the very early stages of development ” as a “ buddy comedy ” between Aquaman and his half-brother Orm (Patrick Wilson).
