The Writers Guild of America recently hosted bicoastal shows to recognize unique scripted content across various media, such as film, television, radio, audio, and promotional writing.
Janelle James hosted the event in LA, and Michelle Buteau in NY. Sarah Polley was awarded the Best Adapted Screenplay for contributing to Women Talking. However, the ceremonies were held amidst the possibility of a strike, as the Guild is preparing to negotiate with the AMPTP later this year.
