Kit Harington Shares his thoughts on House of the Dragon

The predecessor to Game of Thrones has fans discussing the most recent events online. Five episodes of House of the Dragon’s first season have been made available on HBO.

The prequel fantasy series recounts the House of Targaryen’s internal battle and the civil war brought on by claiming the Iron Throne. It is set nearly 200 years before the original series.

The gruesome conflict will cause a rift in the Targaryen Family. In the upcoming episodes of House of the Dragon, things will heat up when Rhaenyra, the eldest daughter of King Viserys.

Kit Harington, who played Jon Snow, who rose to become one of the strongest warriors against white walkers and other opposing forces in Game of Thrones, has also shared his view regarding House of the Dragon.

Let’s not forget that Jon Snow is also a Targaryen (Aegon Targaryen) and the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. He is the son of the late Prince of Dragonstone Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. From an early age, Jon is portrayed as the bastard son of Lyanna’s brother, Lord Eddard Stark. His actual paternity is kept a secret from everyone, including Jon, to shield him from those who want to completely eradicate House Targaryen.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, Harington was asked whether he had seen House of the Dragon.

The Game of Thrones actor acknowledged this and stated:

I’m really enjoying it, “My friend Miguel showed it, so I’m really enjoying it. I think they’ve done a fantastic job. It’s weird to start a whole new show in the same kind of arena and make it their own, and I think they’ve really done that:”
