A story’s characters can sometimes make or ruin it. Sometimes the writing is so powerful that you may either adore or despise the characters. Finding a fictional Character that you adore, whether on the big screen or on the pages of a book, is the most joyful thing you can do. The only thing that comes close is finding a character you vehemently dislike.

Certain people are so deliciously wicked that you will consume every story they appear in. Then there are those characters that everyone despises, sometimes to the point of becoming insane.

King Joffrey Baratheon (Game of Thrones)

One of the most hated characters in Game of Thrones was the result of Jaime and Cersei Lannister’s incest, Joffrey Baratheon. The entire GOT fandom hated him because of his excessive rage and nasty emotions. Everyone wanted him dead ever since he gave the order to behead Lord Eddard Stark.

Dolores Umbridge (Harry Potter)

Dolores Jane Umbridge, who fans hated the most since she first debuted in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, even though Voldemort is the main enemy in the Harry Potter narrative. Her arrogant demeanor, intolerable voice, and intense hate of anything not magical, including non-humans, led her to inflict enormous harm on numerous people without feeling the slightest remorse.

Annie Wilkes (Misery)

After his car gets into a bad accident due to an intense blizzard, she manages to rescue him and takes him to her isolated home to take good care of him. But her ultimate plan was to force the author to shape his writing to suit her twisted fantasies.

Arturo Roman (Money Heist)

Enrique Arce portrays the character as self-serving, greedy, cowardly, and a sexual abuser. The bank boss is in a relationship with his secretary while married to the same wife. At the moment of the heist, she tells him she is pregnant with his kid. Arturito becomes the evilest character in the Spanish narrative after learning the truth and may be one of the most despised across the entire series.
