During an appearance on Andy Cohen’s talk show, Bryan Cranston, known for his iconic role as Walter White in Breaking Bad, sparked hope among fans of the 90s TV series Malcolm in the Middle. Before becoming a legend as Walter White, Cranston won hearts worldwide with his portrayal of Hal, Malcolm’s father, in the beloved show. 

The possibility of a reboot or continuation has always intrigued fans, and Cranston’s presence on the talk show raised their expectations.

When asked about the likelihood of Malcolm’s return, Cranston responded with an encouraging statement, rating the chances at an 8 out of 10. He revealed that he and others have been working on story concepts and plots, indicating that efforts are underway to bring the show back in some form.

“Yes, I would say that on a scale of 1-10, I’d say an 8 that we’ll do a reunion, movie or show or something, And yes, we have been working on concepts of story, plots and things like that.”

This isn’t the first time Cranston has hinted at the possibility of a Malcolm in the Middle reunion. In a previous interview with E! News, he mentioned discussions about a sequel film for the show. 

Cranston expressed his openness to the idea, especially if a compelling concept explores the family’s story 20 years later. He acknowledged the passage of time but also expressed enthusiasm for revisiting the characters and their journey.
