With countless famous movie stars in the Fast and Furious franchise, Vin Diesel’s costar Michelle Rodriguez now wants Matt Damon on the long list of Dom’s family.
Universal has released the first trailer for Fast X, the tenth installment of the legendary saga starring Vin Diesel. The story will flesh out the backstory of series protagonist Dom Toretto, building to the brotherly conflict between him and Jakob Toretto( John Cena ). While also introducing Dante Reyes, played by Jason Momoa as the new villain of the Fast Franchise.
The Dom Torreto family just keeps getting bigger and bigger, including John Cena, Jason Statham, and countless others; the latest additions to the Toretto family cast include the legendary Hollywood actress Rita Moreno as Dom’s grandmother and Daniela Melchior from “The Suicide Squad.”
Additionally, we are introduced to Jason Momoa, who will be portraying the film’s antagonist, who is on a vengeance to destroy the happy Torreto familia. Other notable additions to the cast include Brie Larson as Tess and Alan Ritchson as Agent Aimes.
Michelle Rodriguez wants Matt Damon in the next Fast and Furious Film
On the red carpet, Michelle Rodriguez shared her thoughts on who she would like to see in the final Fast and Furious film. She expressed her desire to have Matt Damon, known for his role in the incredible Jason Bourne films, be a part of the cast. Rodriguez stated that with four Oscar winners already in the franchise, having Damon, who is also an Oscar winner, would be a fantastic addition.
“Who’s the guy from these amazing ‘Jason Bourne’ movies? Matt Damon!” Rodriguez said. “I fucking want Matt Damon. Matt Damon, would you be in a ‘Fast and Furious’ movie? C’mon, we got four Oscar winners, man. And you’re an Oscar winner!”
Vin Diesel Wants Robert Downey Jr. in the Next ‘Fast and Furious
Just like his costar Michelle Rodriguez, Vin Diesel also wants prominent actors to be associated with the Fast and Furious franchise. During an interview at the trailer premiere of Fast X, Vin Diesel was asked about his dream casting for the film. Without hesitation, he took Robert Downey Jr.’s name and mentioned a character in the film who is Dom Toretto’s adversary.
Without telling you too much about what happens in the future, there’s a character who is the antithesis of Dom who is promoting AI and driverless cars and a philosophy that with that goes your freedom, There is somebody that believes that’s the future, and that’s at direct odds with the Toretto mentality.
