Henry Cavill has given fans a new glimpse at his upcoming film, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, in which he reunites with director Guy Ritchie.

This action spy movie, based on the Damien Lewis novel of the same name, centers around a top-secret organization formed by Winston Churchill and James Bond author Ian Fleming during World War II to sabotage Hitler’s regime.

Cavill will play Gus, as seen in the new behind-the-scenes image he shared on Instagram, where he sits alongside Ritchie aboard a ship.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare boasts a star-studded cast, with Henry Golding, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Babs Olusanmokun, Alex Pettyfer, Cary Elwes, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Til Schweiger, and Henry Zaga all joining the project. Ritchie, who directed Cavill in The Man From UNCLE, has gathered some of his past collaborators for this film.

Although the film’s details have been kept under wraps, Lionsgate has acquired the rights to the project and is looking to release it in 2024. The production began two months ago, and Ritchie is again in the director’s chair, helming his second collaboration with Lionsgate following Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, starring Jason Statham.

The Man From UNCLE, which starred Cavill alongside Armie Hammer, was a box office bomb when it first came out in 2015; it has since gained a cult following and calls for a sequel. Film fans will no doubt be excited to see Cavill and Ritchie collaborating again, especially since The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare appears to be an exciting and action-packed project based on a true story.
