FRIENDS WAS ORIGINALLY CALLED INSOMNIA CAFÉ
Two decades away in early 1990s Creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman wrote their first ever pitch of around seven pages to create and release a sitcom named Insomnia Café
The Plot and the roles were totally different as what we have seen in the show, and my God what would have happened to the show if it had the name Insomnia Café rather than friends. In the Friest script, before changes, Racheal and Ross were not supposed to be the Key couples, but it was Joey and Monica, Can you Believe that.
After alot of changes in the names, NBC brought the name Friends Like Us and one more which was Six of One and another one Across the Hall but when the show was aired the name came down to finally called as FRIENDS, and we all are really happy it went down to just a single word.
