How Robert Downey Jr. allegedly tried to get in touch with Johnny Depp after the verdict in his defamation trial

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have appeared together in the past news for a long time because of their ongoing legal battle. When their defamation case started in Virginia, things came to a head. “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor and “Pirates of the Caribbean” wife lawyers won most of the time in court. Now we know how Robert Downey Jr. contacted Depp after the verdict in his defamation trial.

The public closely watched Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s trial in Virginia because there were cameras in the courtroom. As a result, the court of public opinion was set up, and there were a lot of memes and TikToks. And according to the New York Post, Robert Downey Jr., aka Iron Man, FaceTimed Depp soon after he won the case.

The Post confirmed that Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jr. had written to each other, but Depp’s close friend Josh Richman had already said this at a charity event. He said the two famous people talked on FaceTime soon after the defamation trial ended. Even though most of what RDJ said to the Edward Scissorhands actor was private, Richman let slip one thing RDJ said to him:

This was probably what Johnny Depp thought since he has spent the last few years fighting in court. Before the defamation trial, Depp sued the U.K. newspaper The Sun for saying that he beat his wife. But that case didn’t go as well. After everything was said and done, he turned his attention to the case against Amber Heard in the U.S.

During the defamation case, Johnny Depp’s team said that the actor didn’t want money from Amber Heard; he just wanted his name to be cleared. Now that he has done what he set out to do, it will be interesting to see how the 59-year-old actor’s career recovers from the scandal. As for Heard, it’s unclear if or how she’ll be able to pay the vast $10 million amount that the jury decided.

Robert Downey Jr.’s feelings of relief might make sense to people who don’t know Johnny Depp or Amber Heard. After all, the defamation trial took over the news for weeks as it played out on our TVs. Even though people kept up with every new piece of information about what was happening, things have calmed down a bit.

Even though Johnny Depp won in court, it’s still unclear how his career will go from here. He has, however, been very busy. The multihyphenate wasn’t there when the defamation case verdict came out because he was already in Europe playing music. Depp seems to care a lot about music since he’s getting back together with his celebrity supergroup Hollywood Vampires.  In it, he will play Louis XV.
