Godfather is one of the greatest creations done till date by the film industry till date.
Looking back now, this movie is one of the most respected and a movie one can watch more than 100 times. The story the timing of the lines, the acting by Al Pacino, and the whole Crew is just mesmerising.
But there was a time that there wasn’t a lot of confidence in the project. The rights to the novel by Mario Puzo were purchased before the novel was even finished, but the sweeping crime epic was too ambitious for the producers’ tastes, which made their minds to invest a little amount of money but still create a masterpiece
Puzo was first guided to write, the script according to the modern times not the way it is right-now, and we all can understand, what all superior quality stuff we all have missed, except we didn’t.
Coppola was the one that insisted on the period setting and re-established the more epic tone.
